The power of Deep Rest—Sleep Sessions with Yoga Nidra and Crystal Sound bowls.

Rest your body into a yogic sleep bed with soft cushions, eye pillows, blankets and an added infusion of deep warmth with hot water bottles to warm and ground your body.

A retreat from the light….This is a new class offering that I have created to support the power of sleep. From experiencing a time of sleep deprivation myself and the ill effects it can bring, this is a gateway into self medicine and an essential practice that will help to bring your body back into a better rhythm for deeper longer sleeps.

This will be a late evening practice, so once you leave to head home the idea is to sink into your bed and allow the body to settle into the healing of the practice that has been done. It’s a perfect remedy for anyone who is overworked, sleep deprived, working shift patterns, has interrupted circadian rhythms, experiencing stress, exhaustion, burnout or any anxiety or depression—This is a practice for anyone who is simply wanting to lock into the power of stillness and receive the amazing effects this has for body and mind.

A deeply restful session that will help you to rest, regulate and release the nervous system and aid deeper sleep state which brings the body back to a natural healing response. Infused with ancient practices of yoga Nidra and guided relaxation which is medicine for your immune system— the deep rest brings in a stronger healthier body and mind. The session is here to guide you into relaxation that creates a soothing release from the busy demands and any vibration of rush, letting the body deeply rest and restore itself.
Let your body and mind absorb stillness with Sound frequencies from the incredible crystal sound bowls that omit healing vibrations and sound wave frequencies into the cellular body for a Physical, emotional and energetic healing experience.
As you lay nestled in blankets, molded into supportive restorative postures with a receiving of hot water bottles to keep you and your space warm and grounded, I’ll then be guiding you into the power of stillness, where you can rest comfortably in a cosy cacoon feeling completely held absorbing the dreamy journey through yogic sleep. Once it’s time to stir, i’ll wake you up gently with sleepy mist leaving you feeling lightly refreshed ready to journey home.

Simply allow yourself to absorb the healing frequencies of sound and Yoga Nidra deep rest and take it all with you into the rest of the night—These sound frequency vibrations and tones effect brain waves that soothe and calm the nervous system, taking you deeper into a state of internal awareness and a higher state of meditation as the sound waves help release both mental and physical strains like every day stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, tension and illness. An amazing treatment for deeper healing and much needed peace.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is an ancient technique that has been practiced for thousands of years and literally means “yogic sleep” as it puts the mind at rest so the body can repair, while simultaneously relaxing every cell in your body. It will send you into a state somewhere between awakening and dreaming and is said that 1 hour of Yoga
Nidra sleep is equivalent to 8 hours of sleep.
Yoga Nidra is like a magical sip of nourishment to today’s busy lifestyle. This was the practiced that saved me during a time of severe sleep deprivation after experiencing shock and it worked. With this practice I was able to bring my nervous system back to neutrality and experience a deeper sleep state than I had ever had before.

Sleep deep and wake up the next day to feel well rested and restored. Everything is easier when you’ve had a good nights sleep, you’ll be amazed at how fresh and focused you feel the next day, it really brings so much clarity.
