A Yin Yoga Sleep Session Mini Retreat for A September Sanctuary at the Zen Den Newquay 🤎

 


I love the transition from end of summer into September, as the intensity of the sun mellows and combines itself into the atmosphere, it’s like the two seasons connect and we get this merging of light and darker elements for a sense of autumn on the way.

I have created a 2hr Santuary Session coming up at the Zen Den for September 14th and this one will be the last one here util next summer when the beautiful yurt is back!!

So I’d love for you to join me and submerge yourself in these healing practices with me for September.

It’s going to be….

A closing off from the summer sun to retreat from the light with a focused Body Recovery session, infused with Yin Yoga practices, myofacial release techniques, Abhyanga and trigger point self massage and a much needed sleep session of deep stillness to recover in mind and body after a busy Summer.

You’ll be immersed in a grounded mix of practices that support the nervous system and the physical body with soft cushions, eye pillows, blankets and an added infusion of deep warmth with hot water bottles to keep the warmth of the sun in and take this intention of comfort with you through to the colder months to come.

I’ve created a deeply restful session that will help you to rest, regulate and release the nervous system and aid in a deeper body repair state, which brings the body back to a natural healing response and out of any stress response.
Infused with ancient practices of Yin Yoga Abhyanga and guided Restorative Relaxation which is medicine for your immune system— the deep rest brings in a stronger healthier body and mind and you’ll be guided into relaxations that creates a soothing release from the busy demands summer has pressed into your cellular body.
Learning to let go of any vibration of rush and giving yourself deep rest to fully restore itself is the best medicine and preventative treatment for illness or ailment, knowing how to create a better rhythm for transition into the next season will support your body in the deepening of the inate awareness it has to naturally start slowing down. So instead of staying disrupted and dis-regulated you can sink into neutrality and sense of calm.

This offering supports the power of rest and opens a gateway into self medicine, this is the essential practice that will help to bring your body back into balance.
It’s a perfect remedy for anyone who has been overworked, over partying, making the most of the summers longer lighter days, working shift patterns, stress, exhaustion or for any residual of lack of sleep or burnout that has interrupted circadian rhythms. These combined practices also deeply support anxiety or depression due to the somatic experience, allowing your body to access feel good sensations and re-program.
